PORTRAIT  COMMISSIONS  

Every client is unique.   Allow me to create a portrait that captures a moment in time for you and your loved ones.   The considerations for a portrait include many variables that reflect what the spirit of the portrait should be.

Figure sizes include the following perspectives and are priced accordingly.
~ head and shoulders
~ three-quarter figure
~ full figure

Basic Terms

1. At the initial appointment the artist & the client will discuss all artwork details for the commissioned art.
2. When a price is quoted, it is for the finished, unframed artwork only.
3. On the commission agreement date, the client shall pay a deposit of 20% of the total artwork price.  30% of the total price shall be paid when the preliminary design is delivered by the artist.  Client will be responsible for the balance within 30 days of delivery of the artwork.
4. Client has two weeks following delivery of artwork for minor changes.
5. Sales tax applies to Virginia residents only.
6. Copyright and other rights as defined in the Commission Agreement are retained by the artist.
7. Oil portraits take from three to nine months to complete, depending on the artist’ workload.
